Welcome to the Survival Dispatch Insider!
Our goal each month is to provide you with timely, action oriented intelligence to help you prepare for and survive whatever comes your way.
We are perpetual students of survival. We are always learning, growing and improving in our skills and knowledge.
As part of the Insider community, you will share in the journey right along with us.
Despite what anyone might say, no one person is a true expert in every area of survival. There is simply too much to know.
That is why we have assembled a growing network of individual subject matter experts to bring you the best possible information in every category of preparedness.
We were excited to bring the Insider online September of 2017. It is a work in progress and there are bound to be hiccups as we birth this new project.
We will continue to grow the site and add new content each month. As soon as we hit critical mass, we will also launch an special Insiders Only private Facebook group so you can network and learn from one another as well.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Now that the intro is out of the way, here is a quick tour of what you will find in the Survival Dispatch Insider:
The Monthly Insider
Each month we enlist different members of our team to bring you laser-focused material on a new topic or survival scenario as part of the Monthly Insider.
You can view the articles in blog style format right from the home page of the membership site. You can also access a Table of Contents by clicking on the Monthly Insider link in the navigation bar. You can also download a PDF version if you prefer from the Table of Content page.
We recommend printing out each Monthly Insider to begin building your own survival notebook/library.
This month’s focus is on Food Preservation & Storage.
We will release the a new Monthly Insider right around the 15th of each month.
The Building Blocks section serves as the foundation of preparedness for Survival Dispatch Insider members. In this section we give you a simple way to assess how prepared you are in 29 different survival categories. We have divided each category up into 3 phases of preparation.
Phase 1 is all about getting started. Accomplishing Phase 1 for each category will put you at a level of preparedness that is greater than 99% of the population. In the Food category for example, Phase 1 is all about acquiring a 72 food supply for your family.
Phase 2 is about increasing your supply. For the Food category, this means upping your freeze dried meal supply to cover your family for 3 months.
Phase 3 is about improving your system and extending your supply. For Food this means adding freeze dried meat and veggies to your supply as well as spices, sugar, and salt to extend your capabilities to 6 months or more.
Each Building Block includes a short introductory video. Over the next few months, we will continue to expand each of these categories with more information, how-to videos and useful resources.
Take some time to look at each Building Block and assess where you are in your preparation. You may find that you are very prepared in certain areas, but dangerously unprepared in others. The Building Blocks will help you prioritize what you need to do next.
Bug Out Bag Blueprint
Bug Out Bags (BOBs) are always a hot topic for survivalists. Everybody wants to talk about grabbing their bag and heading out into the woods if the world goes apocalyptic.
But what about having a bag packed in case of an earthquake or rising flood waters that cause you to evacuate your house and enter a shelter. Or how about being stuck in your car on the interstate for days because of a freak winter storm? These are all scenarios that have happened in America in just the last three years.
The Bug Out Bag Blueprint will help you devise a strategy for building kit bags to cover you in every circumstance. We cover 15 different gear categories and give you recommendations for what to put in your bags. No bag is the same as needs change based on the scenario you face, your personal capabilities, and the places where you live and travel.
The Bug Out Bag Blueprint section will get you asking the right questions, and provide solutions to make sure you are prepared no matter what. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised it you end up with several different bags when things are all said and done.
The first 7 sections are complete for our initial launch of the Survival Dispatch Insider with the rest coming to you over the next 30-45 days.
Developing survival skills that you can depend on is critical, but it sure doesn’t hurt to have good gear as well. Within the Gear section of the site, you’ll find 3 different elements to assist you:
Gear Reviews provide in depth reviews on products that we have field tested, hammered on, and abused. We like these items, and most we importantly trust them.
Gear Spotlights are quick looks at products we’ve used that could find a home in your personal kit. These aren’t full blown reviews, but if an item gets spotlighted, it’s because we believe in it as well.
As you may well already know, there are a ton of details to keep up with if you want to truly be prepared. The Calendar section of the Survival Dispatch Insider can help you stay on track.
This calendar is full of simple reminders to help you increase your supplies, maintain your gear and make changes to your preps to be ready for different seasons of the year.
You’ll find a Subscribe button at the bottom of the page that you can use to add these items to your Google Calendar, Outlook calendar, Apple calendar and more.
As part of your Survival Dispatch Insider membership, we are pleased to provide you with a growing list of exclusive member discounts and perks. We will continue to add more vendors over time as we are constantly on the lookout for new partnerships to provide you with even more value savings.
