Developing survival skills that you can depend on is critical, but it sure doesn’t hurt to have good gear as well.

The New Gear section focuses on new releases and new items that we think have the potential to be pretty cool. We haven’t tested these items yet, so we can’t give you a definitive opinion.

The Gear Reviews section provides in depth reviews on products that we have field tested, hammered on, and abused. We like these items, and most importantly, we trust them.

Gear Spotlights are quick looks at products we’ve used that could find a home in your personal kit. These aren’t full blown reviews, but if an item gets spotlighted, it’s because we believe in it as well.
